Go Up Go Down

I just reciently insalled a ripcord on my 2000 Fred Bear pursuit bow. I followad the instructions from the youtube ripcord/ fob set up, to a tee. The only thing that I did different was install the trip cord football at a greater angle than the 45 degrees stated in the video because of the position of the cable slide rod(I think thats what its called). on this bow it is below the grip handle not on top.
When I pull the bow back and let down slowly the rest drops as it is supposed to. When I shoot it does not. I have taken slack out of the trip cord and am afraid to take any more as it is pretty tight now at full draw. So far I have ruined three fobs, three launchers, and two sight pins(from flying fob and launcher parts). If this gets any worse I may never get to try fobs untill I get a new bow in the very far future.
PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi mooseman sorry to hear about your difficulties with this rest I have never tried one so will not be much help with that but if it does not work out for you due to the position of the cable rod,
(I'm betting somone here (Bowtuningtips) can help) I shoot a limbdriver and because it attatches to the limb directly instead of the cable it would solve your problem, Good Luck.

Try setting the rest up, then pull the cord and let it go quickly like it would do if you shot and see if it falls ok. Is the rest new or used? Sounds like the internal workings might be messing up. Try to post pics of it at full draw and at rest so I can see it.

It is new. I gently used my release to tension and release the trip cord quickly ant it falls like it should.  I will post pictures as soon as I get the new launchers that I ordered. For now I put my old rest on so I can still shoot. I will keep you posted. By the way thaks for the replies guys

Hello again guys,
Well I finally shot my first successful FOB today. All it took was a new bow Grin. I REALLY wanted a new bow anyways, so merry christmas to me Grin. Set evrything up the way the the youtube video and Paul said and what do you know, it worked. All I have to do is paper tune then sight in and hopefully I'll be shooting lasers.
Thanks for the help guys.
I will keep you posted on how they fly when I get them flying straight.
