Let me just start by saying that Fob Nations Website is one of the best sites I have ever visited.
Its member base so far has been a very helpful bunch of guys and gals. Thank you
Secondly let me tell you the first experience I had with one of its members.
The other day while sitting at my home, patiently waiting for my FOB's to come in the mail after waiting 2 weeks purchased them on EBAY. (NEVER AGAIN). I was ecstatic when they finally arrived late that evening. I immediately went to measuring making sure I had everything solid
For when I got up in the morning to go to my backyard and shoot FOBS all morning. As I stood at 20 yds and loaded my first ever FOBulous FOB onto my bow, the much anticipated first flight was about to happen. Arrow knocked, target in sight, drawwwingg......
released.........hmmm that’s strange, arrow looked like it reared up as it left the rest.......but the arrow and FOB are on target, hmmmm, I said to myself, You’re just excited and have newbie jitters. Second shot the same but with a small spiral flight, hmmmmm, on target again but could it be that I’m not doing Something right? yeah yeah, must be my breathing or something. Lined up the third shot.... releaseeeeeeeeeee, WHAT??? FOB Flies off 10 yds after leaving Bow, Shaft hits target. WOW, what happened, as I walk back to target, I pick up a BUSTED Fob, Not good, I thought. As I approached the target, I can see that the 2 other fobs have the same damage to them. Now I’m torqued. Looked at my Bow, everything looked normal.
I used the measuring thingy that came with the Fobs, all seemed great last night, what the hecks going on here?.
After a much needed cup of coffee, I logged onto FOB-NATION's website, Bowhunter4e was on and I needed to ask somebody something cause I just busted 3 new fobs on my first 3 shots. After about 30 seconds of telling him what had happened, he calmly asked me a few questions.
To tell you the truth, I’m an on hands kinda guy and I needed to SEE what this young pup was talking about. Within minutes we were video Conferencing online, I was showing him broken fobs and he was pointing at his bow so I could see areas he wanted me to check out on My bow, Bleeped!, he even went as far as calling BowTuningTips for info for me. John told me to use Baby Powder on the fob, so I could see where it was hitting, WALLA!!!!!! Powder left a mark on the back of the arrow rest. He got back to me and told me to Drop my rest so it would Be horizontally even with the shelf. (The backend of the rest was up in the air) Seems like that was the problem because as he told me to go and shoot another arrow and check it..........NO MORE PROBLEMS, I took 6 shots to make sure, ALL on mark. I rushed back to tell him Everything was awesome now. THIS GUY that I only met online at FOB NATION's Website, 2 days prior, took his time to help a fellow archer out. even offered to send me replacement FOBs for the ones I busted. JOHN? I love you brother...lol.
Sorry I was over winded with this post but had to be done. I'm sure as time goes by and I get to meet more members of FOB NATION, That I will run into more helpful and caring members that are
true to their words and actions when they say "WE ARE HERE TO HELP YOU".
THANK YOU VERY MUCH JOHN (Bowhunter4e)
you Lived up to your word!!!!
