I have used the QAD since day one and never had an issue with this. It's a simple rest to tune with fobs. Let us know if you have any issues and we will be glad to help.

Anybody using the QAD on an Alphamax? Which launcher are you using? I have been tweaking this thing all afternoon and cannot seem to get it worked out. I had this rest shooting bullets on my General with my FOBs but can't seem to eliminate contact between the FOB and the launcher since mounting it on my Alphamax. I tried bare shaft tuning with blazers and got the blazers and the bare shaft basically shooting in the same hole bit still got contact with the FOBs. I tried nock height settings from -1/16" to almost +1/4". Not sure what i may be missing but i'm baffled.

Make sur you use the TL1 fork. If your using one of those ruvver arrow holder. thats where it might be hitting at. Make sur you read Pauls first post on this thread. Follow his instructions. let us know if that helps.

That's just it...I have the TL1 fork and have gone through the whole process. I have previously performed the whole setup successfully on my Bowtech but now can't seem to get anything to resolve my contact issues with the Alphamax.

Call QAD 434-846-5839 ask for Drew and tell him your problem, also I would tell him it would be easier for BowTuningTips.com to do a video on thier rest so you don't have to call and bother them.  They should help if not change rests there are alot of companies with good customer service out there. If I can help let me know.

Hey all. quick question. I am looking into getting a QAD soon as I would like the full containment. Do all 3 work well with fobs? I'm just worried about clearence issues with the hunter model as it seems to have less adjustments but the price tag is better for a broke uni student haha. I am shooting a 2008 hoyt vectrix+ Z3 cams and 70lbs pull. Thanx all:>

Hey sidekick,
I have a QAD Ultra HD on my Bowtech Admiral. Works great!. Just make sure you use the "TL1" launcher as this will give you max clearance.

Oh, and i was thinking the rip cord but i like the idea of being able to let the draw go slowly and still have it in the up right. Thats the feature that sold me

I set my son up with the basic model QAD and liked it so much I almost put it on my bow instead
I ended up with the limbdriver and plan on staying with it until I can no longer shoot, My son is just useing the Genisis bow which has a thin riser so there is not enough clearance for Fobs yet
but it works great and from what I've seen I would not anticipate any problems. Good luck
P.S. double check on the ripcord, I believe on a slow let down it also remains in the up position
although I have no exprience with this rest, BTT is the man with all the info on it, he's a staffer with them I think

ok so got some FOBs for my wife to shoot.  (She can't stand when can shoot better than.)  Had some trouble with it though.  shes shooting a Martin Saber with a QAD hunter rest.  was hitting somewhere.  spent a day checking and moving stuff.  got tired of it so I decided to check BowTuningTips again.  realized she was shooting Beamen MFX arrows (same as Axis).  So grabed one of my arrows which are victory arrows.  they were perfict.  so i ordered some accunocks for her to try and solve the problem.  what are your guys thoughts?

I just got my FOBs!! I went out and shot a dozen arrows.  I was hitting the target very low.  I was shooting from 20 yards.  I started using my 30 yard pin then my 40.  Is there something I should do, is it the FOB that is making me shoot low.  I was having some contact with the stickon felt pad but i took that off and it wasnt hitting anymore.  Also, I feel like Im going to have to move my anchor point.  I could feel the FOB brush the side of my face after release.  I read something in an earlier post about using baby powder to see if there is any contact.  Does that work and if so, how?  Thanks for your info, I can wait to experience these things this season.
